Within the
parameters of the Aqaba Marine Park lies the Marine
Science Station, the only marine research institute in
Aqaba. The Marine Science Station has managed the coral
reserve since 1986 and is owned and managed by Jordan
University and Yarmouk University. The station houses
the Aqaba Marine Aquarium, which introduces visitors to
some of the magnificent species that live in the Red
Sea.
