Housed in the foundation of the roman theater within the
western section. This museum was founded by the
Department of Antiquities and officially opened in 1975.
It presents a recreation of traditional Jordanian life
including costumes, furniture, handicrafts & musical
instrument such as hand drums (Tableh), Mehbash (rattle)
originally used as a coffee grinder and Ramadan drum
(beaten loudly, by a walking drummer "Musaher", to wake
people up before dawn for breakfast) The museum items
represent the following Jordanian cultures:
The culture of the desert (Bedu).
The culture of the villages (Reef).
The culture of the towns and cities(Madineh)

Opening hours: 8AM - 7PM in the summer, 8AM - 4 PM in
the winter, 8AM - 3:00PM in Ramadan, 10AM - 4PM Fridays
& official holidays
Closing days: first day of Eid El-Fiseh & Eid Al-Adha
